Challenge

A mining plant needed a replacement relief valve for a longwall shearer hydraulic system. The original part had been discontinued by the manufacturer. Full dimensional compatibility with the original was required, along with resistance to 350 bar working pressure.

TMT Solution

Based on the provided technical drawing and measurements from the disassembled valve, we machined the component on a CNC lathe. The material — 42CrMo4 quenched and tempered steel — was selected for its high fatigue strength. The valve seat was ground to Ra 0.4 μm surface roughness. Each valve received individual TMT marking with batch number.

Result

We delivered a batch of 12 valves within 8 business days. After installation in the shearer, the valves passed pressure testing at the mine's test stand. The client placed an order for additional replacement parts for other machines.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you manufacture replacement hydraulic parts for discontinued products?
Yes, we specialize in reverse-engineering replacement parts for hydraulic systems based on technical drawings or measurements from the original. We produce valves, pistons, bushings, and cylinder housings.
What maximum working pressure can your hydraulic components handle?
We design and manufacture hydraulic components for working pressures up to 350 bar (test pressure 525 bar). For higher pressures, we select appropriate materials and heat treatment processes.
Do you individually mark manufactured components?
Yes, each component can be marked with an individual batch number, TMT symbol, and production date. Marking is done by laser or mechanical engraving — ensuring full traceability in the supply chain.
